What Exactly is City Station?

You've heard the buzz around town; What IS City Station? Read more.

You’ve heard the buzz around town; you’ve seen the construction at Maple Commons, near the CVS on Maple Street. Right now it just looks like some steel beams, lots of dirt and tons of work. However, each day you drive by the progress of the beams and cinder blocks, you are witnessing the foundation being laid for what we hope will make a radical difference in Carroll County and the surrounding areas. Introducing, City Station.

Sure, you’ve heard the name thrown around recently but, what IS City Station? Here’s a quick overview:

Who: It’s for you, the people of Carrollton.  It is organized by Southern Hills Church.

What: City Station will consist of several divisions to serve the public:

  • a state-of-the-art fitness center

  • a healthy and affordable restaurant

  • four large meeting rooms

  • small meeting rooms

  • Covenant Housing for 60 full time college students

  • a state-certified extended-day Christian preschool

When: Projected Opening is July of 2018.

Why: To serve, to be a safe place for the community to utilize every day of the week.

Where: Directly off the greenbelt, in the Maple Street Commons, just behind CVS.

How: Prayer, raising funds, and support from the community. Not only has Southern Hills Church acquired a substantial loan through The Solomon Foundation, the church body has raised $1 Million on its own. However, the funding isn’t complete just yet...and you can help. Visit our Give Page to contribute and play your role in bringing City Station to Carrollton.

More information about Covenant Housing and Pre-School sign ups and applications will be made available in the coming months.

As the beams and mortar continue to come together, we want to provide you with as much information as possible about what is to come. What other questions do you have? What do you want to know about City Station? Contact us on our website or Facebook Page for answers to your questions!
