City Station is a unique community center.

City Station is a community center. This facility was built to meet the needs of Carroll County.

City Station is Carrollton's newest community center that is accessible to everyone in Carroll County. Located on the GreenBelt, the Carrollton community has convenient access to this 8.51 acre property that is less than one mile west of the University of West Georgia’s campus.

Southern Hills: the church at City Station, has taken a huge leap of faith to bring about City Station. Their support, along with donations from the community, is how City Station is funded. Although Southern Hills operates here, they only use a portion of the Community Center on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

City Station houses several divisions and amenities for the public to use, seven days a week:

  • City Station Preschool

  • City Station Student Housing

  • Mustard Seed Cafe

  • City Station Fitness

  • Full Court Basketball Gymnasium/Auditorium

  • Multi-Purpose Conference Rooms for Rent

  • Meeting Rooms/Study Rooms for Rent

  • Child Care for onsite guests

  • Free individual and family Biblical counseling services and resource center

  • Seating in the Lobby

  • Access to the Carrollton Greenbelt and a Zagster bike station

  • Free Wi-Fi access

  • And more!

The Vision FOR WHY

The vision for City Station began several years ago. Pastor Shannon Lovelady and several members of Southern Hills, the church at City Station, came to a saddening realization: Churches, though full of life on a couple of days of the week, sit completely empty the rest of the time. Why waste millions of dollars on the mortar and steel to build a bigger church, when you can build something much bigger for the community instead? This facility will be in use and made available to the community every day of the week.

We are building a road...a road of hope for our community, by coming and community. This road is a road to healing and health for our families, neighborhoods, workplaces, schools, and all of West Georgia. City Station is the answer.
